The Mandala is so named as it aims to allow a P90 pickup the ability to accomplish a universal array of sounds. The Ceramic VIII / AlNiCo IV blend in the bridge brings tightness and focus to the bass, while maintaining an organic and powerful midrange, without too much presence in the highs, and the AlNiCo III / AlNiCo IV neck blend allows for organic and crystal clear cleans, with enough cut, output and brightness to calibrate with the bridge pickup for a great, humbucking middle position sound and no discernible volume difference between the neck and bridge pickups.
