The Alchemy Hemlock are our highest output Strat pickups. Wound with modern 0.05mm poly wire around flat AlNiCo 5 pole pieces, these pickups are capable of driving an amplifier very hard naturally, replicating the power of a humbucking pickup, with much of the warmth, but without sacrificing the lively and harmonic open sound of a single coil pickup. They're capable of very warm and clear modern cleans, and handling stacks of gain and producing a heavy, unique hard rock and metal tone, particularly in the bridge - albeit with the 60-cycle hum of single coils still present, unless you operate the bridge and middle p'ups together, for a fat humbucking tone. A huge, powerful, sledgehammer tone, but fundamentally a traditional Strat pickup set, without any modern trickery.
All single coil middle pickups come with RW/RP as standard, so positions 2 and 4 produce in-phase humbucking tones.
